Frequently asked questions
| What is RCC? | RCC stands for RCM Certification Committee. It is a leading global RCM certification body. The internationally accepted JA1011 and JA1012 standards define which processes may use the letters “RCM”. These standards are periodically evaluated and improved by the G11-M committee. Some members of the G11-M committee decided to join forces to ensure that RCM is applied according to a consistent certification standard. This group of RCM examiners is known as RCC. |
| Which persons work for RCC? | High-quality certification bodies do not publish the names of their examiners on public websites because of: – integrity – independence – objectivity and avoidance of bias – protection from external influence All our examiners have signed NDAs to ensure the reliability and impartiality of RCC. RCC is responsible for keeping the database of certified RCM colleges up to date, and for developing and supplying RCM exams according to the standards. |
| How are exams developed? | We have created a database of over 500 examination questions and translated into different languages. All paragraphs of the RCM standards are covered, and each exam consists of a fixed number of questions drawn from this database. |
| How many questions has an exam? | RCM Level 1: 30 questions, 45 minutes, multiple choice. RCM Level 2 – Phase 1: 60 questions, 1 hour, multiple choice. – Phase 2: 15 open questions. |

| When do I need to recertify and what are the costs? | RCM Level 1 is valid for 5 years. To recertify, you must achieve a score of ≥80% for the RCM Level 1 exam (€175, ex VAT) before the 5-year period ends. Your trainer will inform you where to send the certificate. After 5 years, you must attend a new RCM Level 1 training. Contact your trainer. RCM Level 2 is valid for 2 years. To recertify, contact us for Level 2 recertification (€475, ex VAT) and send at least 2 RCM analyses to us. Two of our examiners will evaluate their quality and contact you within 2 weeks with the results. Your trainer will inform you where to send the certificate. Remember… you are responsible for recertifying on time. |
| I lost my certificate and I do not know the validity period. How can I get a new certificate? | Contact us and we will send you a copy of your certificate by email if it is still valid. We are unable to issue a certificate once the validity period has expired. |
Previously, RCM Level 2 had one theory exam. Now Level 2 consists of one theory exam and one practical exam. Do I need to recertify for the second exam? | No, you do not need to recertify simply because an additional practical exam has been introduced. Your existing RCM Level 2 certification remains valid until its expiry date. Remember… you are responsible for recertifying on time. However, when you reached the end of your 2-year validity period, you must complete both the theory and the practical exam during recertification, as these now form the current Level 2 requirements. |
